Welcome to the gallery I have loosely named “Interpretations”. This gallery contains images where I have interpreted the scene in front of me, either through intentional camera movement creating a more artistic or painterly effect, or through enhancing the image in Photoshop to create a more pleasing or interesting image.
There has been much debate in photography circles about the different types of approach people take to their post capture production work. For my part I use filters when I take the photograph, to get it as close as possible to what I saw at the time, but equally I do not have any problems with using creative licence to enhance or change the feel of an image – after all this is what has been happening in painting and darkroom processing for centuries.
This gallery contains these kind of images and I really hope you enjoy the end results.
